How does it work?

DeRisk IT takes a two-phased approach to the tool evaluation process. Phase 1 is a discovery phase, while Phase 2 is the actual tool evaluation phase.

Phase 1 is a FREE one day discovery process to learn more about your organization, testing environment(s), and application(s) to be tested. The goal of Phase 1 is to narrow down the tools that will be evaluated in Phase 2.

DeRisk IT's knowledge of and experience with the industry leading testing tools enables us to create this “short list”, to streamline and bring greater efficiency to the actual tool evaluation process itself.

Phase 2 is the evaluation of the potential “best in class” tools identified in Phase 1. Based on our experience, your testing organization structure, your testing environment(s), and your application(s) to be tested, DeRisk IT will develop a set of criteria by which to evaluate and rank each tool. Criteria often used in our tool evaluations range from technology to be tested (web, java, C/S, DBMS, .NET, etc), to ease of use and price. Once the criteria is developed and agreed upon by you, DeRisk IT will use a weighting system to rank each tool. Each tool will actually be tested within your environment and on your application(s) to determine their compatibility.
